Lexapro (escitalopram) 10 4 years			Panic attacks (sudden, time-limited experience of extreme anxiety that may cause racing/pounding heart; light-headedness; nausea; sweating; trouble catching breath; hyperventilation/rapid breathing; numbness/tingling; sensation of doom; trembling/shaking; people having panic attacks can feel as though they are dying, going insane or, having a heart attack)	Heart palpitations Eye redness/inflammation Irregular heartbeat - atrial fibrillation	Lexapro is great for the anxiety. Unfortunately, long term use has landed me at the cardiologist every three months. The heart palpitations became severe and daily. Have had several bouts with atrial fibrillation. Cardiologist suspects Lexapro and is helping me wean off of the medication. I am now on beta blockers to try to get my heart rate normal again. It sucks because the Lex is great for anxiety. escitalopram 10mg 3 years			Depression	Drowsiness	I´ve been taking cipralex for three years. At the beginning, I had problems reaching orgasm, also dry mouth and some manic episodes but this disappeared after the first few weeks. My depression symptoms were severe enough for me to tolerate these side-effects in the short term, at least. Now, my only concern is that the medication may cause drowsiness, as I think I sleep a lot more than most people my age and am very slow and sluggish in the morning. This is not particularly serious in the short to medium term, and is nothing in comparison to the depression and anxiety symptoms I used to have. However, since I have clinical depression (tried various treatments over 10 years) and am likely to take medication for the rest of my life, I wonder whether it matters if I am sleepy, or whether its better to spend my life being a bit dopey than being a nervous, miserable wreck!	27	Female	05/12
