Levoxyl (levothyroxine) 275			Abnormal thyroid hormone blood levels	Decreased TSH level Excessive urination	My endocrine doctor prescribed levothyroxine to suppress the cancer from reoccurring in my thyroid. Since Feb 2006 he has increased the dosage from 50 mg to 275 mg. He increased the dosage to 275 mg in March 2009. In June of 2009 my diabetes suddenly became uncontrollable. I also since that time have loss over 25 pounds due to excessive urination. My life has been a living hell since I began taking levothyroxine. When my doctor is preparing me to undergo a full body scan for cancer he stops me from taking the levothyroxine for a 45 day period. After a 30 days of not taking the levothyroxine I am unable sleep, experience irregularity, weight gain, hearing loss and a host of other problems that I think are all related to not having levothyroxine in my system. Currently as I previously mentioned I think the dose of levothyroxine at (275) mg is entirely too much for my body to handle. I am currently having to take 2-3 times more insulin to control my diabetes. I've had type 1 diabetes for over 45 years and never had this type of problem with controlling my diabetes. I am unable to maintain fluids in my system and have loss over 25 pounds since June 2009. Can anyone out there give a any suggestions or comments? My email address is derek.p.jackson@navy.mil. I am subclinical and had all kinds of symptoms such as unable to sleep, weight gain, tired all the time, loss libido, heavy menstruation, cold all the time and many more. I was taking a natural product and stopped when my endo prescribed synthroid. I have not felt good since. I was extremely tired and lost alot of my allready thin hair that i had left. My skin got even dryer than before. The only improvement i have noticed was my libido seems a little better and my menstruation was not as heavy. Thank God not nightmares, but still really weird. Remember a dream every morning. Levothyroxine - When dose increased from 50mg to 100mg, chest pains started. Very worrying at first but pain has decreased. Lost my appetite almost immediately. I don't know whether the tiredness is due to the lack of sleep, loss of appetite, or just the medication. Tiredness is very slowly decreasing (but i still need to nap for 2 hours every day). When first started taking 100mg didn't have any problems sleeping. In fact, it was excessive (but I was still knackered). Now it takes me hours to fall asleep at night but I'm still tired. Over the past few days I've been feeling sick as I (wait to) fall asleep. I also get bad pain in my feet and legs, like sharp throbbing, as I lay in bed. Headache is always at the front above left eye. I feel so shakey all the time. My legs feel like jello sometimes. I need to hold onto the hand rail when I walk down stairs as I feel so unstable. 2bh I didn't experience any hypothyroidism 'problems' prior to being diagnosed (I had goitre, but it was pointed out to me by my Doctor [I didn't notice it myself]). Since taking the Levo I feel 100, make that 1000, times worse. The Sertraline is generally ok. Everyone says they wish they remembered their dreams, I did at 1 time, but now they're kinda annoying!	24	Female	10/20

Throughout the week I also had many episodes of flutters and palpitations. My main concern is what is causing the chest pain. I have gone off the medicine and seem to be slowly returning to normal, but am terrified to try another Levothyroxine. Also concerned I may have heart issues. We know this drug can cause neuropathy, and heart problems. I was put on this medication back in the 80's after being given a radioisotope for graves disease. I am thankful to have been doing as well as I have for so long, but... would have liked to be given more information for long term use of the medication. I am going on 50, and have horrible joint and muscle pain, and deterniative bone loss.
