Bystolic (nebivolol) 5mg 3 months
Panic attacks (sudden, time-limited experience of extreme anxiety that may cause racing/pounding heart; light-headedness; nausea; sweating; trouble catching breath; hyperventilation/rapid breathing; numbness/tingling; sensation of doom; trembling/shaking; people having panic attacks can feel as though they are dying, going insane or, having a heart attack)
High blood pressure
Other than the high blood pressure, I did noit have these symptoms until I started taking the Bystolic. My doctors say my dose is so low
that it can't be effecting me. But obviously it is.

Levoxyl (levothyroxine) 275
Abnormal thyroid hormone blood levels
My endocrine doctor prescribed levothyroxine to suppress the cancer from reoccurring in my thyroid. Since Feb 2006 he has increased the dosage from 50 mg to 275 mg. He increased the dosage to 275 mg in March 2009.

In June of 2009 my diabetes suddenly became uncontrollable. I also since that time have loss over 25 pounds due to excessive urination. My life has been a living hell since I began taking levothyroxine. When my doctor is preparing me to undergo a full body scan for cancer he stops me from taking the levothyroxine for a 45 day period.

After a 30 days of not taking the levothyroxine I am unable sleep, experience irregularity, weight gain, hearing loss and a host of other problems that I think are all related to not having levothyroxine in my system. Currently as I previously mentioned I think the dose of levothyroxine at (275) mg is entirely too much for my body to handle.

I am currently having to take 2-3 times more insulin to control my diabetes. I've had type 1 diabetes for over 45 years and never had this type of problem with controlling my diabetes.

I am unable to maintain fluids in my system and have loss over 25 pounds since June 2009. Can anyone out there give a any suggestions or comments? My email address is derek.p.jackson@navy.mil.

T hanks so much.

Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) 50 mg 3 months
Panic attacks (sudden, time-limited experience of extreme anxiety that may cause racing/pounding heart; light-headedness; nausea; sweating; trouble catching breath; hyperventilation/rapid breathing; numbness/tingling; sensation of doom; trembling/shaking; people having panic attacks can feel as though they are dying, going insane or, having a heart attack)
I was put on Pristiq 50 mg. by my Dr in August of this year. At first, the drug was great. Now, after I have been taking it for 3 months, I have started to experience a loss of appetite, rapid heart rate, stomach fullness to the point of hurting. Headache. If I miss a day's dose, then for that day, I feel fine. But, the next day I feel absoultely HORRIBLE! I have this sensation of "popping" in my head! I know this sounds crazy, but it is not like a popping of the ears, but a feeling like I just woke up and in a haze, then this "popping" sensation starts. It will last most, if not all, of the day. I was originally put on Lexapro 10 mg. back in August of 08, but I complained to my Dr. that I had absoultely NO sex drive at all. So, this years visit to the Dr. I told him about this and that is when he put me on the Pristiq. I feel that my panic attacks were directly related to my depression 2 years ago, but now I don't feel as if I have the panic like tendencies. Has anyone else experiend the "popping" I have described when they miss a dose?? I do not want to continue taking this med. any idea how to taper myself off? 11/11

Effexor XR (venlafaxine) 150mg 7 years
Bone pain
Muscle twitching
Coordination problems ("ataxia")
SSRI Withdrawal Syndrome (occurs when certain antidepressants are stopped too quickly - may include: nausea, dizziness, tremors, sweating, diarrhea, anxiety, agitation, headaches, numbness or tingling)
I have been off this drug for 23 months and still have not healed withdrawal is long and horrid I have lost everything I owned my health all but my life and if I do live and it now looks like I will there is not much left to live for thanks for nothing fda.
There is no place on this form to put in tolerance where you enter withdrawal because the drug is no longer working that is what happend to me and no doctor could figure it out so I sufferred for years till I broke. There is not enough information given to doctors and the small bit they do have does not get to the patient. That is wrecking peoples live and needs to change.

hydrochlorothiazide-metoprolol 100 6 weeks
Anxiety (fear or dread out of proportion to situation - often with restlessness, tension, pounding/rapid heartbeats, or rapid breathing)
Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (rapid heart beat that starts and stops abruptly - heartbeat originates from an abnormal location in the heart rather than in the heart's normal pacemaker)
was diagnosed with SVT in Oct 08. Started on metroprolol. Had a lot of side effects including reaction to cold trouble breathing. That settled down and went off drugs. Started again in Sept 09 due to SVT reoccuring and severe anxiety. Six weeks later I have sore swollen bottom lip and tongue. Painful bladder cramps at night and slight fever. Have been told by doctor to go off drugs - what is alternative? 44 Female 11/05

Seroquel (quetiapine) 5 mg 7 days
Anxiety (fear or dread out of proportion to situation - often with restlessness, tension, pounding/rapid heartbeats, or rapid breathing)
I started taking Seroquel daily for anxiety, and even though I'm on a low dosage I noticed some scary side effects. The worst was rapid heart beat, but that seems to have all but disappeared after the "breaking in" period of the drug (a month). I have noticed that both eyelids are now drooping. At first I thought it was age related, but I have never had a problem with it before I started this medication...is there a connection and, if so, is it reversible if I switch to another med? 52 Female 11/03
